How to Get to Broadstairs
By Rail
Broadstairs station is at the top end of the High Street and is served by trains run by South Eastern Trains. The fast service runs from London Victoria via Chatham and Faversham then along the North Kent coast through Whitstable, Herne Bay and Margate. Services are twice an hour monday to saturday, hourly on sunday and journeys take about 1 hour 45 minutes to Broadstairs.
Trains also run from London Charing Cross via Dartford and via Ashford(Kent), although both these services have considerably longer journey times.
To plan your journey start with the National Rail Enquiries and for the fastest journey use trains from London Victoria via Chatham.
By Coach
Broadstairs is served by coaches which run from London Victoria Coach Station. Services can be found at the National Express homepage. Journey times vary from 2 hours 30 minutes to 2 hours 55 minutes. Fares are cheaper than the railway, but you are liable to traffic delays at busy times.
By Road
Coming from London or the M25 north of London head for the A2/M2.
If you come from the M25 south of London take the M26 then the M20 to J7 and turn left (north) onto the A249, follow the signs for the M2.
When you reach the end of the M2 continue on to the Thanet Way, which is now a dual carriageway, towards Margate & Ramsgate then when you approach the roundabout at St Nicholas at Wade you will see signs for Broadstairs.
There is a free route planner available at the RAC website.
